AIMCO® Magnet Brake Rotor and Gear Lifting Device Designs

The AIMCO® magnet brake rotor and gear lifting devices utilize dual magnet tool design to efficiently accomplish lifting jobs. By incorporating two magnets on a spreader bar, the magnet device is capable of being adjusted. This patented magnet configuration makes magnet brake rotor and gear lifting devices especially ideal for transportation industry applications. These devices also are designed in a way that allows for one-handed use, making equipment handling easier than ever before!

Capacity of Our Magnet Brake Rotor Devices

At AIMCO®, our magnet brake rotor devices and magnetic gear lifting equipment can withstand heavy loads, accommodating up to 300 lbs.

Controllers for Magnet Brake Rotor Devices

If you want the below-the-hook end effector to be as small and simple as possible, our Slide Valve Controller is a great option. If speed is of the utmost importance, and the brake rotor or gear can be handled from the top face, our Autopick Controller is a perfect fit. AIMCO® offers a variety of ergonomical options to operate its equipment. Explore a comprehensive selection of our controllers here.

Advantages of AIMCO® Magnet Brake Rotor Devices

The advantages of our magnet brake rotor devices are significant—discover everything our equipment has to offer and explore its many design features.

Superior Surface Finish

Smooth surfaces are ideal for any magnetic lifting device as rough surfaces can affect magnetic force significantly. Even miniscule flaws in a magnet brake rotor device’s surface can impact the effectiveness of the magnet, which is why AIMCO® uses the highest quality surface finishes for every magnet application.

Magnet Brake Rotor Devices for Efficient Lifting

Magnet brake rotor devices and gear lifting makes picking of jumbled parts easy and efficient. As a result, operators are given a great amount of control over the lifting process with magnet end effectors.

Magnet Brake Rotor Devices Provide a Solution For Carbon Steel

Magnetic part holding is a good solution for carbon steel products with various part features, such as scattered holes or complex surfacing. Non-marring magnet shoes are also available for delicate parts and prevent premium surface finishes from defacement.

Case Study 1

Background

Ternes was looking for a faster and safer method to move brake rotors from a workstation and to a pallet.

The Problem

The operators were handling brake rotors by hand to move them from a workstation and bend down to place onto a pallet on the floor. This had caused many back and shoulder injuries and needed to be addressed.

The Solution

An AIMCO dual magnet tool equipped with a force-sensing handle and AutoPICK controller allowed operators to easily palletize brake rotors. The G-Force provided smooth and fast vertical control while the buttonless AutoPICK provided fast picking and placing of the rotors.

Case Study 2

Background

Brembo Rotors and John Deere Gears were both handled in this demonstration video.

The Problem

Both companies sent sample parts to AIMCO and asked for a live demonstration of how our air magnet assemblies worked.

The Solution

Our team configured our demo magnet tool with a JDN Air Hoist. We also used our newly developed Pistol Grip up-down controller and our Slide Valve Controller for grab and dual-task release.
