Windows
Residential and commercial building windows were easily handled with a single cup vacuum end effector that had power tilt 90 degree capabilities giving the operator an easy means to lifting the large window in a flat orientation and placing it upright into a shipping crate.
Doors
Heavy duty steel doors were encapsulated and supported from the bottom with a custom AIMCO mechanical grab. The end effector was suspended from an overhead jib crane with a TorqLIFT (lifting cylinder and torque tube).
Washing Machines
4-cup vacuum end effector safely handles washer and dryer drums for residential and commercial use. A high torque power tilt function manipulates the drums from a horizontal position to a vertical position. Lifting and lowering was executed with an AIMCO TorqLIFT (lifting cylinder and torque tube).
Roof Shingles
Custom end effector was developed to attach to and lift cardboard boxes of roof shingles. The end effector had a fixed cup with a foam seal that engaged the top of the box and an ancillary cup that sealed on the front face of the box.
Bath Tubs & Shower Inserts
Bath tub and shower inserts needed to be unloaded from a mold press, tilted up 90 degrees, then set onto a conveyor for palletizing in another area. Vacuum end effector had 4 cups on level compensators. The AIMCO G-TorqLIFT utilized a smart lifting device for float mode and virtual limits.
Wood Panels
MDF wood panels were maneuvered with an AIMCO vacuum lift assist that tied into a dual girder bridge crane. Lifting and lowering was handled by an AIMCO TorqLIFT (lifting cylinder and torque tube) mounted to a trolley platform.
Countertops
Granite countertops and corner trim pieces were handled by an AIMCO vacuum end effector during the construction of the Hudson Yards in New York City. The lift assist leveraged smart lifting device technology such as float mode, anti-drop, and virtual limits.
Construction Truck Panels
Versatile vacuum lifter designed and manufactured by AIMCO was used to pick and place various doors and panels for construction trucks, excavators, bulldozers, and more. Each vacuum cup is adjustable in the x-axis and y-axis plus has swivel capabilities.
